ZCS’ Engineering & Architecture Projects in Grants Pass

As an engineering and architecture firm in Grants Pass we cover much of southern and central Oregon, but we are particularly proud of our successful hometown projects, including:

Parkway Fire Station, Grants Pass, OR
The striking building is notable for its 53-foot-tall functional bell tower. With distinctive timber trusses, the fire station incorporates conventional timber framed walls, concrete masonry shear piers, and concrete masonry unit walls with a manufactured steel building system.

This massive facility includes 1,773 square feet for a public education facility, 4,532 square feet for fire apparatus bays, and 9,695 square feet for offices, training spaces, and living quarters.

Sexton Mountain Lookout Tower, Grants Pass, OR
ZCS Engineering & Architecture designed a 50-foot-tall replacement fire lookout tower for the Oregon Department of Forestry that would last significantly longer than the previous timber towers.

With a 90% steel construction, exposed elements are protected by a galvanized layer, so the entire tower will be extremely long lasting and durable.

Hubbard Lane Transmission Main, Grants Pass, OR
ZCS Engineering & Architecture installed a water pipe made of 16” Class 50 ductile iron that crosses under Sand Creek and a Grants Pass Irrigation District canal. The new main needed to be rerouted through existing county and state right-of-ways.

With an additional intersection improvement project in motion during the time of installation, we engaged with all parties involved to ensure proper coordination.
