It all began with a professor of engineering who knew how important real-world experience was for a student. Looking to provide his students with hands-on experiences, Professor Richard “Dick” Zbinden opened Zbinden Engineering in Klamath Falls over 45 years ago. He hired interns from OIT to work with local clients on real projects — putting into practice what they were learning in the classroom.
Eventually evolving into ZCS, our firm has kept this mindset of mentorship at the forefront of our hiring approach. Our current President and Vice President both started their engineering careers as ZCS interns, and have continued the legacy of providing hands-on design experiences to the next generation of industry leaders.
We offer part-time, paid internships throughout the year in each of our office locations; Klamath Falls, Grants Pass, Medford, and Oregon City.
A qualifying candidate should be currently enrolled in a civil or structural engineering, architecture, or landscape architecture program, and preferably currently taking junior or senior level coursework.
